Day 1 of Juice Fasting was on Friday. I was not thrilled to start my juice fast on a work day - and of all work days, I had to go be in court at 10:00 am in Sacramento so I was less than thrilled but, I bought a nice stainless steel thermos to carry juice around. A nice purchase always resolves my problems.
8:00 am - I made juice from celery, cucumber and apples. Juice is not an exact science. I throw in random amounts in the juicer. It all becomes a liquid. Its amazing how much vegetables I eat during a day thanks to the juicer.
I was almost late to Court because it is stressed in all literature that I have to clean the juicer right away. Cleaning kitchen appliances right away is not my strong suit.
Anyways, I thought I would be starving mid-morning, but I was not. How could vegetable juice make me so full? I wonder if my body is satisfied from all the nutrients and vitamins?
1:00 pm - made juice with the spinach, apple, ginger, celery and lemon. Lemon is a good addition.
I was so excited about juicing, I invited my sister for dinner and made us carrot avocado soup. This was too ambitious - it did not taste good. My sister's favorite juice was made from celery, cucumber and apples. This is the beginner's juice blend.
What others said about me: My sister said my complexion looked better already!
How I feel: Yes, Day 1 is over. 24 more days to go. I feel good because I am not overeating and I am not drinking alcohol. I was sleep by 9 pm.
